Liquid Cooled Shrouds

AIM Technology liquid cooled shrouds create an increased range of operating conditions for standard optical probes. Standard probes are limited to relatively low temperature and mild environmental conditions. Liquid cooling can be used to cool the probes down to ideal operating temperatures whilst remaining in high temperature environments. Liquid cooling is a common method for cooling plastic molds and other foundry equipment. Often times the liquid is an easily accessible means of cooling as it is already being used in the process. In addition, liquid cooling can be done in a closed loop system when a chiller is employed. This means that fluid does not need to enter and leave the system, as opposed to gas cooled shrouds. Liquid cooling can be very cost effective as well, due to the accessibility of existing flow.
