Hermacrimp sealing combines proprietary technologies with advanced polymeric materials to provide a hermetic, environmentally sealed high energy electrical or signal feedthrough capable of operating in harsh environments. Hermacrimp sealing technology also offers the capability to hermetically seal a wide variety of body materials and center conductors with different thermal expansion characteristics. Competitive sealing methods use either glass joints, braze or epoxies which severely limit the choice of materials or significantly reduce the hermetic sealing capability. Typical applications include sealing battery center conductor pins often made from copper or aluminum to a wide range of body or header materials. Hermacrimp terminal or feedthrough seals are ideal for high power applications where maintaining a hermetically sealed environment is of prime importance.
