Flow Velocity Analysis
The AIMACAM is designed for laboratory use or in process applications where non-intrusive flow velocity measurement, analysis and control is needed. The software can be used to very accurately measure flow velocity at varying positions in your pipeline or process by changing the focus point. This vision system can be used to measure and analyze flow characteristics in clear, translucent and opaque fluids. It utilizes LED back-lighting illumination to help observe the motion of bubbles over time to accurately calculate velocity.
In addition, the technique is a first order analysis, which minimizes error typically caused by interpolation. This means that the calculations are done by directly observing the physical movement of the fluid rather than relying on pre-determined limits based on ideal laboratory conditions. Changes in media, viscosity, and temperature are automatically accounted for as well. This results in a highly accurate flow measurement system.
