The AIMACAM is designed for laboratory use or in process applications where bubble analysis and control is needed. The software can be used to monitor bubble size, volume, surface area, distribution and Sauter Mean. It can measure up to 25,000 bubbles in 30 seconds for bubbles as small as 40 microns in size. The AIMACAM can be used to monitor and analyze bubble characteristics in gases, as well as clear, translucent and opaque fluids. For clear or translucent fluids, the LED back-lighting illumination is used to clearly define the edges of bubbles, particulate and conglomerates resulting in sharper images and higher image quality.
For opaque and semi-opaque fluid, the AIMACAM takes advantage of various light frequencies to enhance contrast between media, particulate or bubbles. The analysis of the multiphase media can be used in the identification of gas bubbles, water globules, particulate and other impurities in crude oil applications.
